Following UK fuel prices: weekly reports and news from FuelPriceAtlas
Where to find our weekly and monthly UK fuel price reports, price-move news and guides, and how they are produced from live data.
Besides live prices, FuelPriceAtlas publishes regular summaries for the UK.
- Weekly and monthly fuel price reports – average prices, cheapest towns and brands, and the oil price.
- UK fuel price news – notable moves and record prices.
- Guides – explainers, tips and town pages.
Reports are generated from the daily prices we collect; the UK history began in October 2026, so the first weekly report appears once we have a few days of data.
What we publish
Once enough history has accumulated, we publish weekly and monthly reports on UK pump prices. Each report is generated from our database, so the numbers are consistent with the maps and rankings on the site. A weekly report needs at least five days of data and a monthly report at least twenty, which means our first reports appear after our UK database has started to fill.
How to read a report
- National averages. The mean price for E10 and diesel across the country for the period, with the change from the previous period.
- Movers. Towns and brands where prices rose or fell the most.
- Cheapest and dearest. The stations with the lowest and highest prices in the period.
News
Our news section includes short items on notable price moves, based on our data, and editorial summaries of events that affect fuel prices, such as Budget announcements. News items that rely on outside reporting draw on at least two independent sources and are rewritten in our own words.
See our editorial policy for how we choose and check what we publish.
